Historical Costume as a Source of Inspiration
On September 19, 11:00-12:30 a.m., you are invited to a lecture at Victoria Museum.
In Room 3 among a collection of historical costumes we will talk about:
Historicism in fashion and the pattern of “returning” styles of the past.
Cyclicities of fashion development in the XXth – beginning of the XXIst centuries, and possibilities of trend forecasting.
Algorithms and examples of transformation of historical costume into modern fashion collections.
All the guests of the lecture will be able to visit the main exhibition of the Museum and the exhibition “Aesthetics in details: fashion and canes” free of charge.
The lecturer is Miroslav Melnik, art historian and fashion historian.
